“Growing up I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing,” a bandaged Tisdale told PEOPLE on Monday from her Los Angeles home. “The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose.”
“I didn’t do this because I believe in plastic surgery,” she added. “I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose.”
“I want my fans to know the truth. I’m not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest, because my fans are everything to me.”
The once distinctively beautiful and highly recognizable Ashley has now entered the realm of Jennifer Grey by becoming the average, bland (yet still beautiful) girl next door. Jennifer Grey said of her nose surgery “I went in the operation a celebrity - and come out anonymous”. This may be the same unfortunate case for Ashley’s career. After searching the net for new pictures of her, we ended up passing right past them. She lost her special thing. The thing that her audience has grown to love. The looks and personality that blended so perfectly to make this teen star so popular, seem to have disappeared. Fortunately for her, she has already signed on to High School Musical 3: Senior Year and that may be the new introduction she needs to pull off this new look and keep moving forward with her career.
