The 28 year old actor died Tuesday of unknown causes leaving behind a two year old daughter. His death comes as a shock to family, friends, fans and colleagues.

Police revealed that there were six different types of prescription drugs found in Ledger’s room. Police also said the masseuse who found him in bed, cold to the touch and unresponsive, failed to immediately call an ambulance. Instead Diane Lee Wolozin used Ledger’s mobile phone to call his actor friend Mary-Kate Olsen, screaming down the phone that Ledger was unconscious and she didn’t know what to do. Olsen said she would send over her personal security guards to deal with the situation. But seconds later a frantic Ms Wolozin called again: “I think he may be dead. I’m calling 911.” Ambulance officers, who arrived at Ledger’s apartment about the same time as Olsen’s security guards, could not revive the actor.

Heath just finished the filming of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, where he plays The Joker. This film is set for release July 18, 2008. He was also working on a new film called The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus which has not yet been completed.
